"Is e-Learning effective?
The benefits of e-learning
- Lower cost
- Faster lesson delivery
- More effective learning
- Reduction of environmental impacts
A survey of nine years of research literature on training published by Fletcher and Tobias on "Training and retraining", commissioned by the American Psychological
Association, and published in 2000, concluded that: Students learn more, using teaching methods based on e-learning than in conventional ways of teaching, as resulting from measurements and surveys after completion of each educational method.
Special studies by Fletcher (1999), Kulik (1994), Willett, Yamashita & Anderson (1983), confirm that all students learn more, using the computer than with traditional methods in the classroom.
